I have just become aware of one of the greatest incidents of trickery I have ever heard of in professional football.
In Sunday's 38-31 comeback victory over the New York Giants, the Eagles intentionally used only ten men to confuse the Giants on an onside kick.
It worked, Riley Cooper grabbed the onside kick, and the rest is history.
Special teams coach Bobby April deserves a lot of praise. A LOT of praise.
This is a man who I have grown to despise throughout the season, for the numerous big returns the Eagles have given up on defense, as well as (at times) the cluelessness of our special teams coverage.
And then he came up with The Plan for The Onside Kick, which led to The Return to cap off The Comeback.
Bobby April... YOU are nothing short of a GENIUS!
